    I have a blue one that a friend gifted me around 18 years ago. It plays and sounds great. The intonation is a little funky at the first 3 frets and I think it's because I strung it too light, and the frets could probably use attention. I've taken it out to jam sessions and everyone that plays it loves it. Bang for the buck is unmatched.

    Tuve una de esas. Su calidad es muy buena por el precio. Pero sentí que su sonido era demasiado brillante para hacer jazz y no pude quitarle ese brillo. Si le sumaba Grave o le recortaba Medios había una cuerda, creo que era la de Sol, que explotaba demasiado, era como un sonido que no estaba en armonía con los demás. Era un sonido Grave/Medio que no me gustaba para nada. Quizás cambiándole los Humbucker originales por otros mas profesionales se hubiese solucionado. Pero cuando se trata de una guitarra Entry Level, posiblemente el gasto para comprarle nuevas pastillas de mejor calidad no valga la pena. Evaluando todo eso, la dí en arte de pago por otra opcion. Mas que nada porque ocupaba demasiado lugar en mi mueble para guitarras. Saludos. Subí un audio hecho totalmente con esa guitarra, es un instrumental de mi autoría, así que solo suena la AF75 (Si mal no recuerdo en un Fender Princeton Reverb). Dejo el Link por si alguien quiere oírla: ruclips.net/video/fraHUbeEPPw/видео.html

    Hi, Is It me or the vintage 30 sounds harsh with distortion/overdrive and fuzz ? after a while I got a headache, i think in person with a moderate bedroom level I´woluld bang my head against the wall till I feel nothing. It´s amazing, clean sounds are almost the same with both speakers but with dirt my gosh, I don´t know how ASK ZACK puts that speaker in his beautifull vintage Fender Deluxe reverb. I whatched that video where ZACK introduces his Fender deluxe reverb with a Vintage 30 (In with himself decided to install) in it and it sounds great. I know Victory amps are kind of fenderish both in tubes complimet and design so. I am really cofused and with a strong headache.

    Do you feel like some amp heads work better than others with IRs and load boxes?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 Месяц назад

      That's a tricky one, but indeed the amps never react the same with a cabinet vs. load box. This is also true for different cabinets and also for different load boxes, because each one has a different impedance curve and they'll work differently with the amp's power section. Another important factor is to find a good cabinet simulation pairing for the amp (as you would need to find a suitable speaker cabinet pairing). I hope that helps

    I was thinking about building this kind of minimalistic pedalboard with mini pedals and came down here to your video. Great and comprehensive content! Do you see a reason to include a buffer pedal in the pedalboard of this kind?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 Месяц назад

      Thanks for the comment. I personally don't. It's a small board and I'm not running extra long cables (I play mostly small stages 😅 and I usually don't use the amp's effects loop). In these cases, I can't usually tell the difference between a buffer or not. In some cases, I even find the buffer worse, i.e., my PRS SE Custom 24 has slightly hot humbuckers and I've found the sound with buffer to be a bit harsh and unpleasantly distorted in the top end if I have a buffered pedal first in chain (I prefer the true bypass). If you have a buffer, then you can try it and see whether it makes a difference. If you're wondering whether to invest in a buffer pedal for this size of board, then I would personally invest in some other type of pedal. I think TC Electronic has a Polytune version with integrated buffer circuit, so that might be a good start as you get a buffer and tuner in one pedal and can deactivate the buffer if you dislike it

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 Месяц назад

      Thanks for the comment! I don't have experience with those. You could probably get in the same ball park by using the drives in front of the bass amp as I've done on this video. However the SansAmp and Darkglass are both analog preamp pedals with more gain than the digital preamp simulation in the MG-400. Therefore I think the playing feel could still be quite different even though the sound could get somewhat similar

      @@TheBedroomRocker1 you know the DI option? doesn't it essentially just add a separate signal that goes straight to the amp?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 2 месяца назад

      @@raheemthesecond I am not using any DI signal in this video. The DI option bypasses all amp/effects/cabinets/EQ/ etc. and that's not the intention. In the video I show two different recording techniques: 1) The first is the wet-dry rig/technique. This means that you split the signal in two and feed each one into a different amp. The wet amp contains all of the modulation, reverb, and delays while the dry amp does not. 2) The second technique is double tracking. For double-tracking you usually record the same guitar part twice optionally using different amps/settings/speakers/microphones. The small differences in your playing and settings helps to make the sound more interesting. Instead of recording the guitar twice, you could also just split the signal and feed them into two different amps/settings/speakers/microphones, but you would lose the difference in the playing which is quite important. Please let me know if that makes it clearer. I hope it helps. Cheers!

    • @raheemthesecond
      @raheemthesecond 2 месяца назад

      @@TheBedroomRocker1 I understand what your saying but the DI option right before the pedal chain does that exact thing. I you press it it adds a blue line that creates that dry signal so what I am saying is you could have one amp line then press the DI button which will add another dry (going straight to the amp with no FX) signal which is exactly what you were doing except its built in. Do you get what I am saying?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 2 месяца назад

      @@raheemthesecond I just checked it but the DI option bypasses the entire signal chain, including effects, amps and cabinets, so it does not work for having two amps in parallel, which is what I did. It stands for Direct Injection, meaning it injects your guitar signal directly into the mixing desk, which is the last block in Amplitube. To use two amps in parallel, you should use the signal splitter, which is also a built in block from Amplitube. You can place effects before or after the split.

    Thank you for the video it was really instructive! I'm going to suscribe for new videos and reviews!! So I have a question, because I'm going to buy a torpedo captor X (8ohms). Currently I've 2 two amps (both are combos). A Marshall origin 50 and a VOX AC15. I was about to sell the VOX beacause i didn't thought it could be plugged into Torpedo... but you did connected it. So, the question is, you plug the VOX AC15 through the "External SP" (selecting 16 or 8 ohms in the VOX selector according to the Torpedo version you have) right? Thank you!

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 2 месяца назад

      Thanks a lot for the nice comment and sub! You are absolutely right about connecting the Vox to the Captor for silent recording using the "External SP" connection. For the attenuation function, you can use an amp-speaker cable like this one: www.tubeampdoctor.com/en/tad-amp-speaker-cable-0.6m-with-right-angle-phon Here are the steps: 1) Disconnect the terminals of the factory speaker cable on the Vox 2) Connect the new speaker cable terminals to speakers and the male jack to the Captor X "Speaker Out" 3) Set the Vox to "External SP" and connect the "External SP" to the Captor X "Speaker In" 4) If you have a Captor X 16 Ohm, set the Vox's output impedance to 16 Ohm 5) If you have a Captor X 8 Ohm, set Vox's output impedance to 16 Ohm when using 0 or -20dB attenuation and to 8 Ohm when using -38dB or full attenuation (silent recording). 6) If you don't want to use Captor X anymore, you can either restore the original connection OR simply plug the new speaker cable male jack to the "External SP" output of the Vox setting to 16 Ohm. Do you have the Origin 50 head or combo? The head has many output options, so I'd get the Captor X 16Ohm so that's fully compatible with the Vox. I hope that helps. It's a bit confusing in the beginning, but it's basically bypassing the internal speaker connection and connecting to the same speaker via the "External SP" so that you can place the attenuator in between. Let me know if you have any more questions and best luck cranking those tube amps at home!

Right now i think i'll stick to the silen recording feature and the connections through the headphones to practice. Thank you so much!

Gracias.

    When both are combined it sounds like you have some kind of Chorus thing going on :P

      Yes, thanks for the comment. I think they're somewhat out of phase, which creates this effect. I should have been more careful when mixing the signals.

    Pedal sounds good with tone nob at 11hr, but the toggle bright switch is too harsh sounding

    Great video. Do you find the sound to be any different than their analog counterparts?

    • @TheBedroomRocker1
      @TheBedroomRocker1 3 месяца назад

      Hi, please note that the counterparts, even though coming as individual stomp box units, are not really analog circuits but digital models. The models are the same as in the Plethora. I only have the Flashback 2 Mini as a standalone pedal. The Plethora sounds pretty good and close enough to the flashback sound in my head that I've never felt the need for a back-to-back comparison. I feel the differences would be marginal, if any. I hope that helps and just let me know if you have any more questions! Cheers

      Ciao, thanks for the comment. It's of course the same guitar and the same player but there's still a substantial difference between the 3 pedals. Maybe try listening with a good set headphones or studio monitors.

    to check if it's true deep roasted maple or just stained you need to check the screw holes on the neck plate.

      Shijie only uses top quality woods, it really is dark roasted (I have 8 Shijies). They only made of few of these dark roasted necks
